It's been a little while since I thought to put something on here but that doesn't mean that things haven't been moving along.
Our home design from the last post has been finalised, the initial deposit paid and a colour browse appointment booked in by our Client Liaison Executive at Carlisle. We're both looking forward to taking another look around the Spectra Centre to put together our ideas for what our home will look like. Above shows the Atlantique 29 which we have modified slightly to include a larger alfresco area (extended by 2m) and a different facade than displayed so that the WIR is behind where our bed will sit. I guess that makes it more of a walk through robe in the absence of knowing the actual name. We've also added entertainer doors from the kitchen and meals area which will open completely onto the alfresco area with no corner pillar making one very large living space during the warm months when everything is opened up or even the colder ones if we enclose the alfresco.
Since our appointment with the builder we have also paid the remainder of the land deposit and organised our Conveyancer. Now this is where the crazy part comes in. Anyone else have this overwhelming desire to keep visiting the same bit of dirt every weekend just to see how far along it's come? Our land doesn't even title until February 2015 and there isn't even anything that resembles a road but this hasn't stopped me. Surely I can't be the only one. The changes are hardly anything to write home about but none the less we've been back a few times now just to see what has gone on in our absence. So just to share the excitement here are 3 photos showing the development of our new road, yes that's right we haven't even got the road in yet. It's only a couple of weeks between the photos so I dread to think how exciting this is going to get once we can actually drive down the road and see our block.
